Bill Starr (1938-2015) was a legendary strength coach and perhaps the world’s best-known strength writer.  For decades, he wrote for various magazines, including Strength and Health, Ironman magazine, and MuscleMag International, along with others.

He has, in the last several decades, developed an almost cult-like following through his many writings.  He is best known for popularizing the 5x5 method of training along with the heavy-light-medium system of full-body workouts.  He wrote so much, however, that it’s hard for some lifters to know where to begin.
